History of long haired Chihuahua

Long haired Chihuahua is the oldest dog breed on the American continent and the smallest breed in the world. Which is originated in Mexico. The breeds that were used to make up the Chihuahua are unclear, but some think it originated from the Fennec Fox.

The Chihuahua is said to have been discovered in Mexico in 1850. They were sometimes bred for food, but they were also used in religious ceremonies and prized by royalty.
