The Weimaraner is a large dog that was originally bred for hunting. Early Weimaraners were used by royalty for hunting large game such as boar, bear and deer. A properly bred Weimaraner will be solid colored, with maybe a small white spot on the chest. Weimaraners are excellent with kids and easy grooming, trainability, a loving nature, and a can-do-attitude make them excellent pets.The Weimaraner has great physical stamina and an effortless, smooth, and swift gait. They are usually friendly and obedient, but the dog does need daily physical activities.
