The Pumi is a medium-small breed of sheep dog from Hungary. With his coat of corkscrew curls, circular tail, expressive ears, and distinctively whimsical look, the Pumi is all kinds of cute. He tends to be curious, cheerful, attentive and interested in everything that goes on around him. The Pumi is protective of his family and will be wary of strangers. These dogs are good with children and other animals, as long as they are trained from an early age. The Pumi is a bold, active dog with a rather restless temperament. He can be a little suspicious towards strangers.
