The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a cattle herding dog breed which originated in Pembrokeshire, Wales. This is a dog with a strong work ethic. He likes very long walks and is an enthusiastic competitor in dog sports such as agility, rally, tracking, flyball and, of course, herding. This is a breed that needs to be quick and agile, even after herding all day, in order to avoid the cattle’s kicking hooves. It needs daily physical and mental exercise to be at its best in the house. The Pembroke is a bright, sensitive dog who enjoys play with his human family and responds well to training.
