The Finnish Lapphund is a hardy medium-size breed of Spitz type. Quick and agile, they move effortlessly and can go from a trot to a full gallop in a second flat. Finnish Lapphund are friendly and submissive companions, though a bit wary of strangers. While interacting with people, however, the breed is calm, friendly, and very submissive. He is active and intelligent, requiring daily exercise that will challenge him physically and mentally.
