The Border Terrier is a small, rough-coated breed of dog in the terrier group. They are originally used for hunting in packs as they were exceptionally good at catching rabbits and any small animal. Its coat consists of a short, dense undercoat covered by a very wiry, straight, somewhat broken outer coat, which should conform to the body. It is inquisitive, busy, friendly and biddable. It is very good with children and makes a good companion for people of all ages.
